Previously in Bruges..

29th July 2006 - BRUGES
Up early for 8am bustrip to Bruges! Boring as hell, met a nice couple on the bus, we talked about tax returns! Awesome!! Got into Bruges around 1pm, hostel looks slightly dodge (so much better than Amsterdam if only i knew..!!) have to walk thru bar to get to shower..

Go into town with roomies, we find a little family restaurant owned by a guy that looks like Freddie Mecurey! We get 3 euro vego pasta, it's the best meal I have had since the vegan curry in Salzburg... And so cheap...Well anything is compared to Paris!

Afterwards we climbed the Belfry. Main church, reasonable views with the bells constantly chiming! Bruges loves bells!! Big time!

Go to a candy shop but the demo isn't for another 30 mins so we go to another church and see the 'Madonna & Child' sculpture! Get back to candy shop and watch the candy get made! Highlight of my day!! See pics...

Came back to hostel, had and actually finish my first beer ever!! It's like a raspberry beer so not like beer at all!! Tonight was the first night of some free concert so we all headed out!! The music was pretty good, everyone was up dancing and having a good time!!

July 30th 2006 - BRUGES

Woke up slightly hung over but alive.. organised a bike ride to a beach... Left at 9am got there at about 11.30am. The weather was starting to get cold (of course the day we go to the beach after every other day being over 30c!!) we rode thru Damme, home of Van Damme paid homage to him by doing some karate kicks on my bike!

The second we get to the worst beach I have ever been seen it starts to rain!! So we ride back and it starts to rain harder! So by the time we get back to Bruges we are all soaked!! And our butts kill because the bikes were shit!! After a nice hot shower I fell asleep for 2 hours (we did ride 34kms!!) went out for 3 euro pasta again!

Came back and played poka & uno all night! Sorta early night!! Oh yeah have found someone else that likes Vodka Coke so am not the only weirdo out there! Amsterdam tomorrow!!

July 31st

Long trip to Amsterdam, I sat on the side of the bus that didn't have the entertainment system working so got to watch Madagascar to the music of my ipod! Boring trip but we get there at about 6pm! Have had just about everyone on busabout who stayed at the Hans Brinker hostel say it was rank! Got to my room it was fucking rank! I got to share a room with 5 other dudes, so the room smelt of bloke which is a mixture of beer, shit and BO!! haha

Hung out at the bar with busabout people, flipping happy hours!! Downed a few Wodka and Cokes and met up with Ben from Paris we all decided to go to the red light district..Myself and a couple of the others were trying to convince other people to go to a show..they weren't to sure but ran into Fi and Marni (they were looking for the same show I was looking for) and we went as a big group and found a few others from the bus were there too! It' s like what are u doing here and they are like what are U doing here!! Haha think I may need to wash eyes after what I saw..Didn't know u could inhale and exhale a cigar like that..
