Well I need to fill in a few hours before I can see 'madam', there has been a complication with my booking...great am sleeping outside for the next 5 days...
Anyway what have I been up to of late....
Oh yeah totally had a panic attack that I had lost my keycard... imagine I have just moved rooms and repacked my case (for about the 100th time..) and I have about 2 euros in cash, the hostel and hotels here only take cash so my credit card has basically been useless...I go to the teller to get some mulla out but I have no keycard....where on earth is it!! So race back to room (three flights of swirling stairs) and tear through my bag..can't find it anywhere start to panic that if I do need a new card will take ages to get to me and only have 2 euros....however then it dawned on me that I put it with my busabout pass in my glasses case....dur..... so all good!
Ok what else have I been up to!
During the day I went to the Pere Lachaise cemetery, saw Jim Morrison, Choplin and Oscar Wildes graves! It was huge have some great pics that i'll put up in due time! Jim has his own guard on his site!!! how many dead people can say that! Oh yeah went to the Eiffle Tower, I think it absolutely beautiful and I sat in the gardens for a couple of hours admiring the view! Later that night Bron and I had a night bike tour of Paris, it was great....nearly got flatten by a car four times...ate some icecream at some famous place...We finished off our bike tour on a hour cruise of the river, beauiful!! I love Paris sooooo much!! Even though I don't mindholidaying by myself, in Paris you definately need someone with you!! Anyway every hour after 10pm the Eiffle Tower sparkles! Have some video footage of it!!
Anyway after the tour, Bron and I decided to get some dinner, had an awesome vego kabab!
Ummm what else, yesterday was the final stages of the tour de france, that was pretty good went down with some people and got a possie and sat all day watching people ride past...
Went to the pont de arts bridge and sat and watched the sunset, beautiful! Met some really nice people on the bridge they invited me to join there pinic, was good because they had some cheese and biscutes hehehe and there were some hippies playing music so it was a fun filled night!!
Also a Japanese woman asked me something in french, and I repied because I knew what she said!! So my french is coming along nicely!!
I am staying just down the road from the Moulin Rouge, it is actually slightly disapointing compared to the movie hahaha!!!! So yeah I am in the red light district, not as bad as you may think! Actaully I was around there last night and it is funny to see families eatting out around the place hahah
Have noticed things
-Way too much tangerine dream is worn
-Yes there are a million people using crutches...I think because of the crappy roads here, i have fallen over about 6 times today!!
-Nothing is open on Sunday, which is annoying when you are like me who hates paying 2 euro for a bottle of water when I know I can get it at a supermarket for .40 cents ahhh if the place was open I would have got it of course!!
-Couple everywhere, yes I know Paris romantic city etc etc... but it is sickening...
-As above couples dressing alike!! Not in a complimentry way but actaully matching t-shirts!!
- And yes every french person does drink wine, croissants and coffee and have a little dog!!
Oh yeah can't remember which night... but my room mate (who I hadn't yet met) came in drunk as and was putting a blanket on me, going oh you look cold! I am like nah (it was still 30c outside) it was pretty funny though. In the mornning the poor thing was butt naked with the window open, so I returned the favour and placed a blanket over her to protect her modesty! hahah
Today.... had the Da Vinci code walk, stupid me couldn't find the ritz anywhere...but of course it was right in front of me the whole time...it wasn't that good but I started talking to this girl on the tour and we were just talking about where we are from and I am like Colac, she is like my bestfriend lives in Colac, and of course I know who she is!! It's one of my best buddies boyfriends sister (but still know her) and we talked about a party that we both went too! How werid we were talking about Brad's 21st how rotten the punch was and how drunk Kristy got hahah!! But we then went and visited Napoleons tomb I couldn't bring myself to pay 5.50 so I said I was 17 and I got in for free, yes I know I get pissed when people think I am young but I will use it to my advantage at certain times!! From there I wanted to go to the catacombes, took me ages to find it and of course when I do there is a sign that said "Last entry at 4pm" I look at my phone (still have no watch..) it was 4.30pm!!! So tired as I decided to go back to re check in room and my camera has died so need to recharge and soooo hot here need a drink and of course there is this much up with my booking....so here I am!!!!
