Munch down like a Twix

Howdy Do this is Peter McCallister, the father. hahaha I have been wanting to watch Home Alone, and it was TV last night! All I need is Griswold Family xmas on and I am set!

Wednesday night was our Xmas party (who the hell decided on a Wednesday night?) It was held at a place in South Kensington called Beaufort House, (haha Mez and met/lived at Beaufort House in Ballarat) it was themed ' Footballers and their wives', well I only have one dress so I was going to be wearing that no matter the theme!

The night was great had free cocktails (Something with strawberries and passion fruit) and food (Veggie spring rolls my fav) woo hoo...Well me being me, I thought it would be much easier to get two drinks each time I went to the bar....the night rolled on and so did the drinks...I decided to take a 'nap' pfft others thought I 'passed out' whatever...I like got back up after my nap and continued drinking and shotting (bad idea in hindsight).... Suzanne lives about a 15 minute walk from the place so I went and stayed at her place..

so yeah everything was fine to about 2.44am, to be exact...From that moment onwards I pretty much threw up till midday...yeah at about quarter to 9 Suzanne was like, you coming to work? I am like on the couch....''Tell Paul I can't make it in today''...

Anyway after numerous phone calls from people during my still intoxicated sleep in..I swear Tina rang me twice..turns out it was someone from work..oops! At about noon I decided that I could move without vomiting, so pack my shit up and depart..Unfortunaly it's a bit of a walk to the bus station...I manage to just miss the bus I needed..so I am spinning out at the bus stop with a drunk dude asking me if I think he is good looking... Somehow don't spew on bus or tube ride home...Have vowed never to drink alcohol again.. Get home have half hour shower, doesn't improve...It's actually lucky I happened to be really hung-over and not go to work because Jess and Todd were coming to stay the night so I would have had to leave work early anyways... I wasn't much fun as I lay on the couch....however I managed to feel better in the evening and Jess and Toddles took me out for tea. Was fun having Jess and Toddles around but they are heading back to Oz for good! Went and saw musical 'Wicked' with Suzanne on Saturday was good she lined up early and got us cheap tixs, and we even got front row! Don't get me wrong I love musicals but I went into show not knowing what to expect..But it was fantastic. The costumes were amazing too! I really enjoyed it so might go again next weekend! But the cast was pretty famous too, had the Aussie guy from coyote ugly and the nurse from Romeo and Juliet, but the main chick I couldn't pinpoint (turns out she was on All Saints).

Went to Jane's pub to visit and broke rule on non drinking...Just had a couple so all good! Went back home for X-Factor party hahaha was ok! Sunday, not alot going on..Zoe heading back to Oz too, so we went shopping, saw chick from Uk Big Brother! Haha didn't do alot...Said bye to Zoe as she headed to Heathrow is sad because I don't know when I'll see her again...

Such a pity to hear that half of Victoria is on fire at the moment..maybe is good I am over here in the cold..won't get sunburnt this summer..mind you I did get repeatedly burnt in Europe...anyways only two weeks till xmas..I finally finished most of my xmas shopping for people back home and got that off in the mail....


I was in post office queue for my whole lunch break ahhhh...but I got Jemmies present in the mail the other day with the strict instructions not to open till xmas!! I hate having a pressie under our £1 tree all unopen! Tina and I had a lovely friday DVD night...I was hoping to get Home Alone out but stupid dvd shop didn't have it! But made Tina get out full metal jacket hahaha..

Saturday shopping for xmas presents stupid mothers and their horrible little children with sticky fingers ugh...


We decided to go out in Fulham which is a really nice area. Went to the slug and lettuce....they started out playing great music..eg. Dandy's!!! as the night drew on...great place for cheap drinks too, there were £ 2 snakies and did a god awful shot of aftershock...it was horrid!! Anyway Tina drank way too much for her tiny body...so we decided it would be best for me to drag Tina home...luckily we found some lovely boys from Geelong (turns out they went to Ballarat uni with me, and had the same lecture dude, Brian West you know what I am talking about Breski!!) Anyways Tina managed to spew in the tube ride home nice.. Was a good night though!

We had a xmas feast last night at Bolllo Bridge house because the Saffa girls (Lyn and Lindy) are heading back to SA for a month so we decided to have xmas dinner altogether because they are leaving on Wednesday! But yes we all basically filled up on cheese and bread (dang French and their cheese..I love it too much) and dips..















I got some toffee covered popcorn (you know me sooo well)









I didn't take too much interest in the main meal..mind you I still tried (was saving room for dessert as per) but the funniest thing was Lyn who was 'suppose' to get the giblets out...forgot and when they brought out the Turkey from the oven and started to carve it up, out came a plastic bag of giblets I thought it bloody hilarious...mind you everyone else ate it so couldn't have been to bad...



Oh yeah Yorkshire puddings are really nice too!! But yeah we had a lovely break on the couch and open some pressies.. afterwards we decided it was time for dessert...uummm choc sponge, sticky date with custard, cream and ice cream yummo!! (am going to the gym tonight!!!!!) so yeah we were well fed! Yeah so another boring Monday….
